防爆卷簾門是根據《爆炸和火災危險環境電力裝置設計規范》（GB50058）和《鋼質防爆卷簾通用技術條件》（Q/IIDW10-2000）的要求設計制作。對卷簾的電氣及運動部位采取措施，符合檢測條例和防爆要求。經過國家防爆電氣產品質量監督檢驗測試中心檢驗合格并頒發防爆合格證。

防爆卷簾是在鋼質卷簾的基礎上，將傳動部件加以改造，配以防爆電機等設備，從而實現防爆作用：防爆電機由防爆電控箱控制，通過變速裝置驅動卷軸，使固定于卷簾上的簾板沿兩側道軌上下運動，按動防爆按鈕實現門的啟閉。當卷簾運動到設定的上下極限位置時，通過限位器切斷電機電源，使卷簾停止運動。使用防爆電機上的手動搖柄，可實現手動操作。在機械相對運動處，采用聯軸器代替鏈輪傳動，道軌內摩擦處鑲嵌銅板或尼龍。最適合于使用或保管可燃性氣體、揮發性化學藥品等具有高發火性物品的工廠和倉庫等出現或可能出現爆炸的火災危險的環境。
