　　2008年5月16日，日照鋼鐵集團向地震災區捐款1億元人民幣，截至2008年6月6日，日照鋼鐵總共向災區捐獻近1.8個億，為災區兒童盡最大的努力。
Rizhao Steel Company donated 100 million RMB to earthquake-stricken areas in May 16th, 2008 and by June 6th, they tried their best and donated 180million RMB to the children in those areas

受經濟不景氣的大局勢影響，公司業績大幅度下滑，出現了嚴重虧損，08年11月7日，日照鋼鐵與山東鋼鐵簽署重組意向書，日照鋼鐵廠面臨被山鋼重組的命運。
The company’s profit dropped sharply due to the economy crisis and it suffered from very serious deficit. On Nov. 7th, 2008, Rizhao Steel Company signed the  letter of intentional reorganization and Rizhao Steel Company is facing the fact that they will be reorganized by Shandong Steel Company
   

日照熱軋鋼板主攻中厚卷板市場,其產品厚度主要集中在3.0到20MM之間.日照鋼機組能生產1250MM,1500MM,1800MM以及2000MM寬的鋼板,為用戶提供了更多的寬度選擇,大大地提高了分條或者整板應用客戶的成材率.
       日照鋼熱軋產品的機械性能相對偏硬,機械加工成型方面符合國家相關標準,但不適合于超標的使用.往往在高難折彎及加工時出現爆裂等現象.

       日照鋼產熱軋產品的表面質量光滑,能滿足一般情況下的噴漆處理,并能作酸洗及鍍鋅處理,質量相對可以.日照產品厚度一般負差較大,以5.5MM材料為例,一般厚度在5.3到5.5之間,對于有精密要求的產品慎用.
Their products got a smooth surface which would meet the requirements not only for ordinary spray-paint operation but also good for acid pickling and galvanizing. The quality of their products are relTheir products are tend to have higher minus tolerance,  take T=5.5mm product as an example, their actual thickness vary  from 5.35mm to 5.50mm, it’s not advised to be used for products with high requirement of precision.

Rizhao Steel is sensitive towards price and the market due to its higly flexible internal management system and therefore, their products’ overall cost is relatively low, plus, their products can meet with relevant technical standards, and they occupied a large market share in large infrastructure construction projects like ship/bridge/road building and welded pipe making.
